Dasamoolam kashayam is an ayurvedic medicine in a liquid form. It is also known as Dasamoola kwath. It is widely used to treat inflammatory conditions. It is known to pacify the vata and kapha doshas.

Adult dose – 15ml + 60 ml warm water twice daily one hour before food.
Geriatric dose: 5-10 ml + 60 ml warm water twice daily one hour before food.
It is taken after diluting with hot water

Agnimantha – Premna mucronata
Shyonaka – Oroxylum indicum
Patala – Stereospermum suaveolens
Gambhari – Gmelina arborea
Brihati – Solanum indicum
Kantakari – Solanum xanthocarpum
Gokshura – Tribulus terrestris
Shalaparni – Desmodium gangeticum
Prishnaparni – Uraria picta
Method of manufacturing:
All the ingredients in coarse powder form is added with 8 or 16 parts of water, boiled and reduced to 1/4 or 1/8th part, filtered and preserved.
Dasamoolam kashayam works the best with:
Pippali (Long pepper)/ vayu gulika increases the efficacy of this medicine in cases of asthma, bronchitis, and cough.
Dasamoolam kashayam works best when taken along with castor oil (Gandharvahastadi eranda thailam/ Nimbamruta eranda thailam/ sinduvara erandam ) in cases of back pain, sciatica.
Dasamoolam kashayam is possibly safe and well-tolerated in most of the patients.
It can be taken during pregnancy strictly under the supervision of an Ayurvedic doctor.
Lactating mothers can take this medicine without any possible side effects.
